Twilight

Over Thanksgiving break I went to see the Twilight movie for the second time. The first time I went with my friends the day it came out, and the second time I went with my cousin Amanda over the break. It was her first time seeing Twilight and she was hoping that it would be as good as the books. I wanted to tell her what happened, but I kept myself from telling her. We had so much fun hanging out together at the movies and then we went to eat at the Coney Island. Amanda thought that the movie was almost as good as the book, but she thought the book was better. And by the way we like Team Edward <3>

Favorite line from Twilight~ "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb" :)

Sick :(

Ugh…..I feel terrible. At the beginning of Thanksgiving break I was just getting over a cold and the rest of Thanksgiving break I felt great. Monday is when it all started, my head started hurting, my throat was scratchy, and my nose was stuffed up. I didn’t want to admit it, but I had a sinus infection. On Monday I went to the doctor and my doctor said I had a sinus infection. I always get sinus infections after a cold, but I didn’t think I would get one because I felt fine. Well obviously I thought WRONG! I usually have sinus infections three times a year, but not this year, I’ve had six so far. :( Hopefully after this one I won’t have any more until next year. Every time I have a cold, I dread the week after when I usually get a sinus infection. FYI I am not contagious, it is something that happens in my sinuses hence the name “sinus” infection.

Thanksgiving :)

OMG! Today is the last day of school before the Thanksgiving holiday and I can’t wait to go home and sleep in for the next 5 days. I am not going anywhere for the break, but I am going to bake sweets for Thanksgiving. We don’t hold Thanksgiving at my house, but my family goes to my dad’s mom’s house for a Thanksgiving lunch and we go to my mom’s, mom’s house for Thanksgiving dinner. My sister and I are going to help my mom bake sweets for both of my grandma’s houses. We are going to bake 2 pumpkin pies, 1 batch of cookies, and 1 batch of lemon bars. All of the kids on my dad’s side loves the lemon bars and eats them all up, so there is no more for the parents. :) My mom’s side of the family loves the homemade pumpkin pie, and also the lemon bars. My mom, sister, and I have soooooo much fun baking together during the holiday seasons and look forward to it every year.
I can’t wait until tomorrow because my cousins and their parents are coming, from up north in Elk Rapids, to spend Thanksgiving in Livonia. They come every year to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with us. My cousin, Amanda, is only 2 years older than me and we really like to spend time together. She has a brother, so she likes to have a girl to hang out with. Amanda does a great job drawing people, so she always draws pictures of our cousins. Sometimes Amanda and I go shopping the day after Thanksgiving to get gifts for Christmas for our cousins. We always have so much fun shopping and hanging out with each other. She is my favorite cousin on my dad’s side of the family, but don’t tell any of my other cousins I said that. ;)

Happy Thanksgiving!

SNOW :)

It is the first snow of the season and I am so excited!!!!! I was already excited for winter when I heard 100.3 playing Christmas music on the radio, but now it definitely feels like the winter season. I think that winter is my favorite season because everything outside is beautiful, covered in white fluffy snow. Some people say that they don’t like winter because it is cold outside, but I don’t mind the cold. My dad wants summer to come because he can live without shoveling the driveway and sidewalk, and my mom doesn’t really care if it is cold outside. My sister on the other hand hates winter and the cold because if she plays outside in the snow for about an hour her body gets so cold that she feels like she is frozen.

Yesterday, after the snow had started to fall, my sister had a birthday party to go to, so I went with my mom to drop my sister off at the party. After my mom and I dropped my sister off, the snowflakes were all clumped together and falling faster. My mom was driving really slow because the road was already getting slick. I felt like we were going through a huge never ending blizzard. I was nervous that we were going to spin out because we saw a few cars that crashed because they spun out. My dad called my mom’s cell phone to see if we were driving safely on the freeway because on the news they said that there were many snow-related accidents. I was very relieved to be in our house after the crazy drive in the blizzard. When it was time to go pick my sister up from the party, it was still snowing really hard so I decided not to go to pick her up with my mom.

Happy Birthday!!!

Well on Tuesday, October 21, it was my sister's Birthday!! :) My sister is turning 9 and she thinks she is sooooooo cool. For her birthday she wanted a Price is Right game and webkinz. OF COURSE, she got both of them, but she really wanted a Nintendo DS. My parents told her that she is too young to get one and she will have to wait until she is about 11. I got my sister a little monkey and a barbie doll. In the end she had a great birthday and liked all of her presents.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLISON!! :) :)

Homecoming

OMG!!!! I can't believe that we lost the Homecoming football game by one point to Novi. I had fun at the game, but it was soooooo cold and I was freeeezing. Other than not feeling my toes, I liked hanging out with my friends at the game.

I loved the Homecoming Dance! My aunt straightened my hair at her salon and hairsprayed it solid. After I got my hair done, I went home did my makeup and got my dress on. I really liked my dress because it was my favorite color....HOT PINK. :) Even though we lost the Homecoming game, I had a great time at the dance.

Modern!!

Yesterday was my first day of dance class. My dance class is Modern, which is when you dance in bare feet. I think that Modern is the best dance class because it is energetic and fun. Modern is definitely different from any other dance classes because you use different parts of your body.

Last year in the dance recital, my Modern dance was called Flamenco. The costume for my dance was a long flowing skirt that was a beatiful burnt orange color. My class had so much fun learning the dance. The music was upbeat and exciting to dance to.

Another act that I did in the dance recital was ballet on pointe shoes. This dance was a part of swan lake and my class were swans. I really liked this dance because it had effortless steps. I love dancing in pointe shoes, but they make my feet sore.
